Outlining ICSW's vision and goals for social development and welfare
The International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) is an international non- governmental organization focused on generating and disseminating knowledge about social development and welfare issues, advocating for evidence-based policies to combat social injustice and inequity.
ICSW works to build the capacity of its members to address social challenges, promote sustainable development goals, and foster climate justice through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
2024 - 2028
The ICSW General Assembly held in Panama in April 2024 has adopted a new Global program 2024-2028 for the organization.

2020 - 2024
The ICSW global programme for 2020–2024 is shaped by three considerations:
The founding objectives of the ICSW,
The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development,
The new global economic and political circumstances, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Climate Crisis.

The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development: The Commitment to Action agreed to in 2012 by ICSW and its partner organizations, the International Federation of Social Work (IFSW) and the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW)
The new global economic and policy circumstances in the upcoming period dominated at a global policy level by the implementation of the new 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda as adopted by the UN in September 2015.
