The Agenda

The International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW), and the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) initiated a discussion to develop a Global Agenda for social work and social development in Hong Kong in June 2010. The first draft of the Global Agenda was presented to the final session of the conference. The three organisations agreed that the first draft would be reviewed and sent to the members of each organisation (and other interested parties) in October 2010 for formal consultation. Member organisations are invited to send their comments on this second draft Global Agenda by using this on-line questionnaire. If this is not possible for you, please send your comments using the Word document attached to the consultation documents, Responses must be received by your global body by 15 December 2010.

Social Work Day at the UN (March 2011) saw representatives of IASSW, ICSW and IFSW present the development of the Global Agendaa. There were two presentations - to social work students and to the meeting at the UN.
